we’re smack dab in the middle of good days

May 19, 2023

Summer doesn’t begin until June 21st — so we’re right in the sweet spot of spring here in the Ville. Workers will be showing up in about an hour and a half to install the above ground pool. Coco will be here tonight and I’m guessing it will be hard to keep her out of it — even if it’s cold and not full when she arrives.

Yesterday was a day filled with random stuff.

I don’t hate random days. They’re great to break up the steady flow of the regular ones. My day started with real work but sure didn’t end that way. By noon, I had the website for my brother’s new book ready to launch. Check it out at https://ultimatecustomerexperience.com.

Just before lunch, Fluff (I still don’t know his real name) called and asked if I was ready for him to take down the dead tree. You betcha’ I’m ready! By the time he finished, three ugly ash trees were on the ground, cut up, and ready to split for firewood.

Next, Katie and I made a trip to Sam’s Club. Katie needed groceries and items to organize her cabinets. She ended up spending over $500 and had buyer’s remorse on the way home. I stuck to my shopping plan and only added a Minnie Mouse raft to my cart other than what I planned to get anyway. Go me!

And finally, the Pesky neighbors came over and I fed them random stuff. Perry struggled getting the Solo stove burning and it didn’t get great until time for them to go home.

Here’s hoping y’all have a fabulous random day today!

TIL (Today I Learned): Johnny Cash was such a devout Christian, that in 1990, he recorded himself reading the entire New Testament Bible (NKJ Version). The entire recording has a running time of more than 19 hours.
