Ben and Coco’s dog, Wanwan, died last night. She ate dinner yesterday evening but this morning, she had passed. Granted, she was either 16 or 17… very old for a dog — even a chihuahua — but it was unexpected.
Colette and I took her to be cremated in Seymour and the lady there couldn’t have been more kind. She picked up my dead dog in a box like it was a baby and asked Coco if she wanted to go to a private room to say her last goodbye. š„
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
It’s so hard to lose a dog… I’ve been there too. Wanwan has been around longer than Coco and she grew up with the little yippy critter. I know the house will seem empty for them tonight.
