Last Friday, I took advantage of T-Mobile’s “over 55” phone plan. I chose the middle of the road one — not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. I can add another line for cheap, but wanted to try it out before migrating anyone else over with me. I used the Android phone I already have (Samsung S22 Ultra) and got a new phone number.
Barndos struggle with cell service.
The AT&T plan from when Perry was at Walmart still has my trusty iPhone. The problem is that in my office — where I NEED to make calls and receive them — cell service is awful with AT&T. This large room has the worst cell reception in the barndo. It’s always the case that I’m lucky to have 1 bar of service, and I drop calls more often than I’d like to admit.
With the T-Mobile plan, I have unlimited calls, text, and data. The AT&T plan is data restricted, and without the Walmart discount it’s more expensive. But the best news is… I CONSISTENTLY HAVE 3-4 BARS with T-Mobile, even in the office/room that now has walls.
I had to reassure Merida that I’d still be spending plenty of time outside with her.
We all love to stream….
Because I can stream music without worrying with data overages, I can use this phone for listening to music in my car and dump Sirius XM. By keeping Sirius on one car and streaming from my phone via that subscription — that alone almost pays the new monthly phone bill.
And if my Internet goes out? T-Mobile’s hotspot will cover that problem too. 🙂
Today I Learned: STAR WARS released a Christmas music album in 1980 and the producers wanted a better lead singer for the track “R2-D2 We Wish You a Merry Christmas” so they asked the 17 year old kid who was sweeping floors at the studio, and he nailed it. His name was Jon Bon Jovi.
