Ever wake up and your rings are tight when they weren’t the night before? Welp, dandelion is listed by experts as the #1 natural diuretic. Coffee is on about every single list too, but I’m obviously immune to that since I drink so much of it already.
Other ways to get rid of water retention…
- Drink more water
- Avoid salt and sugar
- Exercise regularly
- Reduce carbohydrates
- Improve sleep
- Decrease stress
Controlling what I can — and doing what I’m not doing already — looks like I’m going to need to limit salt and drink more H2O. Oh, and eat a few dandelions. 😉
My Momma has “old kidneys.”
Yesterday was Mom’s appointment with the kidney specialist and all news was good news. First, we did our obligatory selfie…
She was seen by a PA (not a doctor) that let us know her kidneys are working ok for old kidneys. He said she needs to keep doing what she’s doing — basically, she’s to continue exercising and drinking as much water as she can. I’ll betcha she’s healthier than I am, and she doesn’t have to eat lunches that look like this either:
And then the day went downhill.
I mowed on the rider and wacked weeds after that gourmet lunch. I came in to cool off and found that none of my split units were working. Neither of the 2 outside units were running and all 6 of the inside units were blowing hot air. I started early April with my regular HVAC company to ensure I was up and running before summer. All this time later I’m still sweating inside. 🙁
Fun fact for the day: The least obese country in the world is Vietnam. Its obesity rates stand at only 2.1%, which is lower than Uganda (5.3%), and significantly lower than the U.S. (41.9%).
