living in indiana is like moving every few months to a different geographical location

Oct 29, 2023

Rainy and chilly today in the Ville and I LOVE the cooler temps — especially after the recent 80° F days we’ve been having that are out of character for late October. I know so many hate the cold and talk of moving south. Perry, my Mom, and Jerilyn come to mind right after my favorite brother. But even in Vegas, it gets downright cold! I get tired of bitter wind and ice in the winter, but it doesn’t last forever.

In Indiana, we get a taste of every climate. 🙂

I can’t even say I have a favorite season. Winter brings Christmas and snow; spring is awesome when we get to see flowers bloom and trees bud; summer is great for swimming, camping, and grilling; and in the fall, the evenings are perfect to gather in the hot tub and roast hot dogs and s’mores. Every season is good! ❤️

And… every season brings a different kind of work.

Shoveling snow in the winter is never fun; spring means the first big yard cleanup, refreshing mulch, and planting flowers and gardens; summer is never-ending mowing and weed-eating; and you have to rake leaves every fall.

But the best part is, if you’re not a fan of one season or another — hang around just a bit coz there’s a different one right around the corner. 🙂

Now you know: Only 2 of 920 people survived the Jonestown Massacre. Hyacinth, who hid under her bed, and Grover Cleveland Davis, who was 79 years old and hard of hearing. He slept unknowingly throughout the death assembly.
