As of the 15th, I was not really supposed to be “working” for 2 full months. Sadly, I was busier yesterday than most real work days. I can’t practice retiring when I can’t stop working. On top of that, my favorite brother is now wavering on the rotator cuff surgery that he’s supposed to have — and the reason I’m not working.
Someone talked to him about their experience — not fully recovered for a full year — and he’s in a panic because we have speeches booked early January. I’m not going to stop practicing no matter what though!
Temps to plummet!
My various weather apps have been warning that temperatures today are supposed to plummet… fall quickly and suddenly. That must’ve just been there to get us Midwesterners to visit their respective apps/websites because it looks like it’s going to rain and still be 63°. 🙄
We’ve got another month or so until winter officially hits, but fall is about all gone around here already.
If this was REAL retirement, I’d be napping on the couch or eating bon bons while watching ID.
No bon bons. No TV. And no nap. I did; however, take my iPad to the deck yesterday afternoon. While I was still working, I wanted to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine because of the rain and “plummeting” temps coming today.
Now you know: Research shows that reading literature makes people smarter and nicer. (This counts as literature. Probably.)
