I picked up a 7-day free trial of Philo. Because it’s $25 bucks a month, I thought it might be a workable option since youtubeTV has increased their prices to almost double of what it was when I first signed up. I did the trial now because Philo carries A&E, and that’s where Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test aired last night.
In 2022, Casey appeared in a Peacock docuseries and said that her father, George Anthony, was responsible for Caylee’s death. She alleged George Anthony killed his granddaughter to cover up that he had sexually assaulted Caylee. She said he handed her Caylee’s wet, limp body.
I had the app downloaded and was ready to go when it started.
First, the lie detector results…
Did George tell Cindy that he had anything to do with Caylee’s disappearance? Nope – she passed.
Did George molest/sexually assault or abuse Casey or Caylee — or any minor? Nope – he passed.
Did George have any knowledge of where Caylee was in the 31 days before she was found or help to conceal her body? Nope – he passed.
Then George cried and cried. 🙁
George seems frail compared to how he was at Casey’s trial. Both he and Cindy struggled — her a panic attack… him agonizing anxiety. I would love to see him sue his daughter for defamation — he’s a broken man. I’m even more convinced that the jury got it wrong.
At the end of the day, Cindy believes Casey was distracted and Caylee drowned in the pool. George believes Casey harmed Caylee by giving her something so she would sleep (chloroform or Xanax) that caused her death. Their differing viewpoints are a huge challenge in their 42-year marriage. They’ll never know the full truth about what happened to that little girl — Casey will continue to lie and can’t be tried again anyway. Sad all the way around.
I’m cancelling Philo before being charged.
Philo is AWFUL, you guys. We counted TEN COMMERCIALS every TEN MINUTES. Why do I want to pay $25/mo to watch commercials? I don’t.
