Running a scan for viruses/malware this morning for whatifitdid.com took just over a full hour. I posted earlier on shelleyerwin.com that I was considering keeping this site alive — but posting elsewhere daily to keep the database from growing.
Thinking about alternate domain names…
Domain names have been registered since 1985. Forty years later, there aren’t a whole lot of great ideas out there unless you want to spend a shit ton of money.
Premium domains are ones that have already been registered by a 3rd party and are being offered for sale. Too bad that in 1985 I didn’t buy up a bunch of names and become rich so my hounds could live a better life. 🙂
I do own a few decent domains purchased years ago.
I own maybe 15 or so domains… nothing close to the number my favorite brother has purchased over the years. And according to GoDaddy’s appraisal, I could sell 3 of them for a total of around $15K (businesshaschanged.com, themissingpoint.com, and countyofjackson.com). The rest are valued from $20 – $1200 each. But NONE of them fit what I want.
Now you know: While the Selective Service System only requires men between the ages of 18-25 to register for a possible draft, US federal law considers all able-bodied men between the ages of 17-44 as part of the militia, meaning all men in that age range can be conscripted.
