Festivities abound across the country in celebration of the birth of the nation. Fireworks around here started before dusk last night. Not sure where they’re coming from exactly, but it was noisy.
Neither Merida nor Dharma are afraid of fireworks… at least not much…
Rainy weather is in the forecast for the next couple days, and it started yesterday afternoon. So hot and humid, it looked foggy after the first downpour.
Rain or not, it’s still time to reflect on the values of liberty and the unyielding spirit of Americans. Although it sure feels like we’re divided right now, there’s still a shared pride in history and a collective vision for a promising future.
Now you know: Norman Rockwell attempted to enlist in the Navy during WW1 but was unsuccessful due to being 8 pounds underweight. He was able to enlist the next day after consuming a substantial amount of food, including bananas, liquids, and doughnuts.
