There’s plenty to do in the summer when your home is in a rural area. So much mowing… weeding… outside work… and all that takes up a great deal of time.
The sights and sounds are totally different in the country too. Yesterday afternoon, I heard a roaring sound and at first I wasn’t sure what it was. Then I looked to the sky.
Here’s something you won’t see in the city:

I love watching crop dusters do their job. Not once did I ever see a low flying plane while living in Seymour. Heck, I couldn’t even see a horizon there.
I’ll admit, these types of flights make me a bit nervous because they go so low and bank so steep. I wouldn’t want to be a passenger, for sure.
I was just happy to be an observer with my feet on the ground. 🙂

Now you know: In 2015, a Louisiana man was arrested for drunkenly riding a horse on a highway. When detained, he said, “The horse knows the way home” and the sheriff concluded it did not constitute DUI.
