Perry’s on vacation for a full 2 weeks. Not saying he doesn’t deserve it, but it is a long time. Matter of fact, in all the years I had a job — both onsite and remote — I never had more than 10 days in a row off.
So I asked ChatGPT to clarify… and got a wishy-washy answer:
“The length of a vacation for the average American typically ranges from one to two weeks. According to various surveys and studies, many American workers take about one week off, while some may extend their vacation to two weeks.“
I wonder if the answer would’ve been clearer if I’d have added that his store is now nothing but rubble.
Closing date was modified for years but construction may be complete within 5 months.
Perry will be heading south to another store while this one is being built back bigger and better. He was pretty happy when the construction manager called to ask if he wanted to watch it go down. He was probably doing the Snoopy dance while taking photos/videos of the tear-down. 🙂
Curious when that location opened, I ran across an article from March 2012 commending them for their quick re-open after the tornadoes. The corporation filled a semi trailer with water and delivered it to their station in Henryville since a boil-water advisory was in place.
I still have no clue when it opened, but Perry had a customer tell him it was a garage before it was purchased and converted long ago.
Now you know: There is a burger shop in Memphis, TN — Dryer’s — that is using 100+ year old grease to fry their hamburgers. When they opened up their second location, they took some grease with them – it had a police escort.
