It makes me crazy when I hear advertisers say, “www dot website-name backslash…” Good grief! The Internet wasn’t invented yesterday, and even if it was, typewriters have been around for over 150 years.
Backslash: \
Forwardslash: /
Website URLs use a FORWARD SLASH. Even Dharma knows that much. 🙂

But how you say it isn’t as important as spelling the URL correctly.
Y’all have probably already heard about Mattel’s big web address oooops! The movie “Wicked” — a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz” that tells an alternate version of events — has doll merchandise for sale. The doll’s packing listed the URL for a porn site instead of the correct URL, https://wickedmovie.com.
Mattel said they’re sorry and blamed a printing error. Odd because when I have stuff printed, the print company uses the file I provide. In other words, why would the print company change something sent to them by a designer?
Our proofreaders, a small group of family/friends from rural Indiana, seem to find mistakes before going to print on our products…. why didn’t the professionals from Universal Pictures?

Someone dropped the ball, for sure.
Wicked Pictures, the adult-entertainment company that actually owns the web address Mattel accidentally printed on the doll packaging, has seen a huge influx of visitors so they are happy. I’m guessing Stormy Daniels, famous for her legal entanglement with Trump, is happy too since she’s one of their top-rated female porn stars.
Now you know: Al Capone, America’s most notorious gangster, sponsored the charity that served up three hot meals a day to thousands of the unemployed—no questions asked.
