I posted early yesterday morning about the few flurries we had. I even said I didn’t think it was enough to count as the 1st of the season. I was wrong!
Yesterday’s snow counted after all! It ended up spitting snow off and on all day long. The temperature hovered close to freezing but the wind was brutal. When the wind died down a bit late afternoon, the snow was very pretty. I LOVE snow, y’all. ❤️
The dumped and starving puppy is now a picky eater that loves snow.
Dr. Rennekamp said to feed Hugo 1.5 cups of puppy food twice per day. I feel lucky if I can get him to eat 2/3 cup. I’ve tried putting hot water on it and that doesn’t work. My Momma made veggie soup yesterday and because I’m under the weather (COVID test was negative — it’s sinusitis again), Mr. Pesky delivered some to me. It was amazing!
I put a bit of the juice and a few carrots on his dry food left over from breakfast and he devoured it. I put 1.5 cups of dog food in his bowl for dinner with a bit more of that soup and he scarfed it up like a boss. I may need Mom to make that miracle brew in bulk.
I’m already looking forward to the next snow… so are Hugo and Merida.
Perry and Dharma aren’t a fan of the white stuff. And while Dharma likes cold weather better than Perry does, she’s not steady enough on her feet to appreciate slick steps. Even though it’s not yet wintertime, it’s past time to put up the umbrellas — that’s on the “to do” list for today. Also, the bug zapper should be retired until spring. 🙄
Now you know: Orangutans are the largest tree-dwelling animal on the planet. They are astonishingly intelligent, with high IQ and problem solving, and have been named the world’s most intelligent animal in a study that places them even above chimpanzees and dolphins.
