Parents of children today make up about 40% of the workforce. (That number would be MUCH higher if it considered dog parents, as well.) Matter of fact, working American mothers are at a record high according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. So who is going to be raising children when parents are working 6 days out of 7?

I’m too old for the new and improved corporate world.
Maybe it’s because I’m old, but logging 6 days of work every week doesn’t sound much like living to me — and sticking kids in daycare and dogs in crates at home doesn’t sound great for the parents, the kids, or pets. When did work/life balance go out of style?
And if you only get 1 day off a week to spend with your family, when are you going to do laundry, shop for groceries and do the normal home upkeep that’s required (like mowing grass for example)?
