list 5 bullet points of what you accomplished last week

Feb 22, 2025

There are news articles circulating that say federal employees are to be sent the following in email: “Please reply to this email with approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished last week and cc your manager.

Many democrats are flipping out and many republicans are cheering. I’m sitting here wondering what’s new — either earth shattering or horrific — about that.

I could do one of these for work and one personal in less than 5 minutes.

When I worked at a bank, all employees were required to create a weekly report that was sure a whole lot more involved than this request. We had to list how many services we cross sold (% offered and % closed), along with the number of clients we worked for. I kept a notebook where I wrote down every single thing I did every single day. Not only did it protect me if another wanted to say I did something I did not — it was a great tool to refresh my memory regarding on-going loans and more.

If you’re getting paid to do a job, your employer has a right to ask what you accomplished, right?

The #1 accomplishment on my personal list for last week?

I kept 3 dogs alive. 🙂

Hugo is still alive.

Now you know: Nimrod is a biblical figure who is known as a mighty hunter. While most people think it means idiot or fool due to Bugs Bunny, he actually called Elmer Fudd this sarcastically because he is an awful hunter.
