Bernie Sanders held a rally on 3/7/25 at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, WI. There were around 3500 that attended with an additional 500 or so turned away because of capacity. This is part of Sanders’ “Fighting Oligarchy” tour. His main support act during the event — the musical portion — was transgender, Laura Jane Grace. No problem with that, right?

Yes, seriously. The song performance was also signed for those in attendance that couldn’t hear the words. What demographic was being targeted with such a provocative and controversial offering? As of today, Bernie has made no apologies.
Time will tell if he embraces it as an expression of free speech or artistic license that aligns with his progressive base — or if he will address it and recognize it was a misstep that requires a response. I’d wager that I’m not the only American that finds this utterly disgusting.
It’s so disgusting that it ruins appetites.
I know there are people on both sides of the political spectrum that are way over the top. From my perspective, this is in a league of its own.
