accurate new test developed by novice

The novice who developed this brand new test is me. It’s a personality indicator and it’s called the “wood stacking test.” There’s not a single question on this test and it takes a few hours to complete — depending upon one’s fitness level. Here’s how it works:

  1. Provide the test subject one area covered with several pieces of wood
  2. Instruct the subject to stack it
  3. There is no right or wrong way to complete the test

Interpreting results is done visually. Here are examples:

wood stack A
wood stack B

What to look for when analyzing personality based upon this test.

  • In test A (top photo), you see every piece of wood was stacked in an orderly fashion. The ground was raked clear of debris with surrounding weeds neatly removed.
    • This person is organized and finishes tasks that are started. They may be a tad controlling and they like things to be done a certain way. They tend to be neat and orderly.
  • In test B (bottom photo), you see pieces of wood that didn’t make it to the others and the wood was thrown in a pile rather than stacked. Weeds weren’t noticed and the ground is littered with bark and debris.
    • This person doesn’t pay attention to detail. They are laid back and complete tasks just good enough to get by. They likely don’t pick up after themselves well or put things away after they’ve finished using them. They wouldn’t see a full trash can if it was overflowing into the floor.
    • It could also be that creating a “pile” rather than “stacking” was done by someone accustomed to city life and not familiar with rural situations.

These test subjects prefer to stay anonymous. 😉

Now you know: Richard James Hart was known as a sharpshooter and prohibition agent. He was also known for being the elder brother of gangsters Al, Frank, and Ralph Capone.
