Yesterday morning, I hoped that both the 250th birthday celebration for the US Army and the ‘no kings’ protests would be peaceful. That certainly didn’t happen. How pathetic is it that people are so darned ugly on the inside?
So I’m going to try again this morning and hope for a peaceful Sunday — father’s day. Although I no longer have my Dad here on earth, I wish fathers everywhere a happy day of recognition.

Everything else that’s going on in the world…
I have my own thoughts and opinions insofar as what’s going on in the world, but for today, I’m going to simply keep it to myself. I will say that I’ll never understand why you can’t hate Trump and still think a patriotic parade celebrating the 250th year of the Army is awesome.
I’ll never understand why you can’t protest without slapping your hands at horses being ridden by law enforcement, throwing projectiles, looting, or displaying a guillotine with Trump’s head and red streamers symbolizing blood.
For the record… this is wrong. These are NOT examples of a peaceful protest:

What 2 things do you think are the driving force of today’s challenges?
I’m not talking about personal challenges — if so, these would be my 2:

I’m thinking broader challenges — like here in the US and the world. I’ll go first… even though narrowing it to only 2 things is difficult. There are at least a bajillion right answers.
1. Lack of respect
2. sense of entitlement
And finally, I thought this was great. 🙂

Now you know: Although intensely private, Joe DiMaggio allowed a children’s hospital to use his name and image on condition that they never turn away a child because of inability to pay. The deal was struck with a promise and a handshake.
