I saw this on X, and want to stimulate your brain cells. Without Googling, name a famous “Frank.”
Not gonna’ lie, I had Frank N. Stein in my brain and it was stuck like glue. Next thought was Oscar Meyer, and we know their frankfurters aren’t really a famous frank, but I’m counting it anyway. I finally came up with one more real Frank (my answer at the bottom of this post) who is famous.

Remembering faces but not names.
I’m TERRIBLE at remembering names, but I’m not the only one. I have a routine with family and friends where they either whisper a name as a person is meandering over, or cover by saying the person’s name first. My poor recollection has always been annoying to some.
How many times have you spoken to someone and couldn’t for the life of you remember their name? I do that probably 50% of the time — especially at a funeral home. If it happens at a gathering, I ask around to find out what the person’s name is and make sure to reconnect, say their name like I knew it all along, and ask about their parents/siblings/etc. If you ever think I’m doing that with you, spare us both the pain and just say your name at the get-go. Then I can say, “Of course, I remember you!” 🙄
Staying on the topic of names, let’s see if you can guess these:
What is the #1 most popular name in America for males/females? I would NEVER have guessed these. (Again, answers at the bottom of this post.) Guess away and see if you’re right. My money is NOT on you being correct.
And one more… what is the #1 most popular dog name — male/female — in the US for 2025? I wasn’t right on these either.
Hint: — it’s NOT Merida.
And finally, it took YEARS before I starting liking my own name. As a kid, I was pissed because my Mom didn’t name me Kathy Jo. When I got a bit older, I felt deprived because my name wasn’t Amy or Heather. Now, I’m good with my first name, but still hate the middle name “Sue.” Good grief, Mother, is that the best you could do?

The only famous person with the name Frank that I could think of is Frank Sinatra. After trying it on my own, I did Google “famous people named Frank” and found that Frank Lloyd Wright was the only other name I even recognized.
