I’ve never been political and I’m not going to start now, but good grief, people! When you have a bunch of politicians having pissing contests, isn’t it the people that are going to suffer?
Tim Walz needs help formulating media posts.
Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz, released the message below just yesterday. It’s likely one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen… especially in light of what’s going on in his state. The transition from appealing to Trump to criticizing him (“that’s what he wants”) blurred the line between de-escalation and a political attack.
In high-stakes situations like this, purely unifying language would work better, wouldn’t it? I assume the goal of this message was to reduce tensions, keep protests peaceful, reassure Minnesotans, and pressure federal leadership to avoid harsher federal responses that could escalate conflict. If so, it sucked out loud.
Even though I am 100% for deportation, I could get behind a message of unity. Instead, the plea from Walz pissed me off and makes me want to go protest the protesters in Minnesota. 🫤
Why not something like this instead?
Minnesota needs partnership and calm right now. I’ve asked President Trump and the federal government to turn down the temperature and work with us to protect lives and restore order. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right—but violence, vandalism, and threats to public safety must stop. I’m calling on all Minnesotans to reject violence and come together to move our state forward.
Now I need to come up with a deescalation plan for the barndo.
It’s time I figure out a way to reduce tension at the backyard bird feeder. It’s far from peaceful out there and the pressure from woodpeckers against the redbirds, finches, and titmice is about to result in harsher measures that might escalate the conflict. 😉
And finally, our outside wood boiler has been repaired & Mom is colorful!
The pump for the outdoor boiler had something wrong that was replaced (dude told me what it was but I don’t recall what he said), the water was checked and inhibiter was added. We’re good to go. The mini-splits kept it warm inside, but it’s sure nice to be back to normal again.
My Momma is sporting all kinds of spring colors even though snow has been forecasted for our area. Both of her eyes are open and her retinas are intact. All that’s left is continued healing and lectures about being more careful. 🩷
Now you know: Hairy Tongue is where your papillae overgrow and trap bacteria causing smells and stains on the tongue. Coffee, tea, and tobacco are the most common culprits and it can be avoided with good oral hygiene.
