Never assume your dog’s in a deep sleep. Whisper “treat” and watch them bolt upright like they’ve been electrocuted.
Hugo, aka the PRINCE, is not food obsessed like his 2 labrador sisters. He could care less if he eats breakfast or dinner. Matter of fact, we’ve regressed to eating on the couch. No lie.
If I feed him a couple tablespoons, it primes him up to eat the rest. So long as it’s on the couch and not on the floor where the other dogs eat.
He’s picky about meals — but not about treats. 🙂

Dogs can sure exhibit some odd behaviors…
- Upon hearing the words, “butt butt,” Merida stands on her head with her butt in the air to be scratched.
- Dharma talks… she’s always verbally on my case about something.
- Gracie — gone but not forgotten — was so terrified by thunder, she would paw the toilet paper roll until there was nothing left but the cardboard tube.
