have you ever seen the rain? We have!

The Creedence Clearwater Revival rock classic, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” is on repeat in my head. Why you ask? Because we’ve had storms of late that are typically reserved for April and May.

Perry’s Momma in Rising Sun had no power post-storm.

Perry’s Momma still lives in Rising Sun although all her family members have moved away. Her apartment complex was without power for days after a recent round of storms dropped a tornado in Aurora. Everything in her freezer and refrigerator had to be dumped. As a little gal, a bit older and alone, that was quite a job.

Her plight was enough for Perry to decide it was time to talk to her about moving to the Ville. We’ll see how that goes… she’s applying for an apartment in town.

So far we’ve been lucky here at the barndo.

Not a tree or limb down from the previous storms.

With more storms on the way for Thursday and Friday, I hope our luck holds out. It’s summer Mother Nature! Enough with the spring storms.

Having a lot of rain means the pool isn’t warming up to comfortably swim — that’s bad. What’s good is that the ground isn’t so dry that Merida often comes inside looking like this:

We’ve been calling her dirt face. 😁

She doesn’t like the nickname… as evidenced by the photo above.

Now you know: In 1594, in an attempt to broker a peace, the Kingdom of Korea sent the leader of Japan a gift of a live tiger. In Japan, the tiger symbolizes strength and was seen as a valuable gift. In Korea, tigers symbolize weakness and deceit. Oops!
