I love living in Indiana for a lot of reasons, but one of my favorites is that we actually get to experience the changing of the seasons.
And right about now, I’m ready for a change.

I’m officially over summer’s hot days, sticky nights and air conditioner that seems to run nonstop. Give me crisp mornings, cool evenings and that first hint of color in the trees. I’m ready for sweaters, jeans, open windows and a cup of something warm in my hands.
There’s something special about fall in Indiana.
The landscape slowly changes from green to gold, red and orange, and even the sunlight seems a little softer. The days get shorter, the evenings get quieter, and there’s a feeling that nature is settling in for a rest.
Maybe that’s what I love most about fall. It doesn’t arrive all at once. It takes its time.
So come on, fall. I’m ready for you.
And I promise I won’t complain when winter eventually follows. Ask me again in January. 😉
Now you know: The “27 Club” was named for a cluster of prominent musicians’ deaths at the age of 27 including Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain & Amy Winehouse.
