Early yesterday, Indiana’s governor ordered residents to stay home. For me, it’s QwD (Quarantined with Dogs) day #18.
There are lots of disagreements on FB insofar as what businesses are essential and why. Most are wondering why gun stores, liquor stores, and smoke shops are allowed to stay open.
These are the reasons that made the most sense to me even if I’m not sure how accurate they are…
- Booze & smokes: Since grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations can sell those products, it would create an unfair advantage to close some and not others.
- Guns: When the government restricts the right of Americans to purchase guns and ammo, it goes against our constitutional rights.
My quarantine buddies could probably use something to calm them during this challenging time but alcohol might upset tummies. My brother said dispensaries are staying open in Vegas. If travel weren’t impossible right now – I’d ship a little black hound directly to him. She’s on every single one of my nerves.
Yesterday evening, I watched the press conference from the White House. A lot can happen in the last 7 days of the 15 day plan, but if it was an attempt by our president to reassure the American people, it didn’t work for me. We wanted a ‘businessman’ for a president and that’s what we’ve got. So here we go…
