Indiana ranks 47th of 51 states on the happiness list. Who says? A survey reported today on Inside Indiana Business, researched by the University of Warwick in the UK, and Hamilton College in NY.

Since I’m thinking strongly about relocation, I applied the results of this survey to where I am now VS the three areas I’m considering — Naples, GWR (God’s Waiting Room), Phoenix, AZ and Henderson, NV. This survey is telling me I should consider Louisiana. Maybe I should! I can do the whole cajun cuisine thing! Still, I figure I should factor in personal happiness indicators — warmer average temperatures and the activities that accompany a warmer climate.

Florida ranks #3 on the survey list, Arizona hits it for #5, and Nevada rolls in at a pretty poor #39. New York brings the tail, and I could’ve told you that without this survey.
