Only a couple more days are forecasted to be warm and sunny here. I’d be ok with cooler temps if I could work out the heating situation but Mother Nature could care less about my schedule. Fall will return this week with rain and storms and will likely beat the fall foliage into brown leaves and spread them on the ground.
There’s not a cloud in the sky today — unlike yesterday when I grabbed a shot across the corn that’s soon to be harvested:
Winter will have to wait!
I know that winter is the season that follows fall and I LOVE me some snow. My biggest wish right now is that Mother Nature will take another very long holiday so winter will be delayed. There’s simply too many things that we need to accomplish before cold weather makes it more challenging.
- Finish wiring and switching out all outdoor cameras.
- Figure out how to use the outside furnace for the radiant floor heat.
- Get the hot tub up and running – FIND ELECTRICIAN THAT CAN MAKE IT BEFORE 2024!
TIL (Today I Learned): Richard Berry, the original composer of the song “Louie Louie”, sold his rights to the song for $750 in 1959 before it went on to be one of the most recorded songs in rock history. In the 1980s he threatened action against the publishers and they settled out of court, making him a millionaire.
