My two big hounds can break the bank when it comes to my much too soft heart and treats. They get a Purina Prime B-O-N-E every day, (yes, they can spell) and those are expensive. I kept seeing ads for the Woof Pupsicle on Amazon and thought I’d give them a try.
The entertainment lasted about an hour!
If you buy the pre-made treat to put in the pupsicle, those are costly and would defeat the purpose of the purchase. But there are tons of recipes shared by others found with a simple Google search.
From plain unsweetened yogurt with fruit (bananas, blueberries, etc.), peanut butter and pumpkin puree — to beef or chicken broth with rice and a bit of canned dog food — you can mold and freeze anything your pup loves.
My only regret is that I should’ve gotten a smaller version.
I purchased the XL for dogs over 75 pounds because both of them are above that, but because they are a bit round already, a smaller version might’ve been better. Guess they’ll get less peanut butter and more fruit to keep the calories down. (Don’t tell them.)
The best thing about the Woof Pupsicle is that they screw apart for easy cleaning. 🙂
