from Denmark to Louisville – what about the weather?

Katie returns home today from her big trip. Her last few days have been spent at her friend’s place in Denmark and her flight home departs from there. She will be flying alone and should be fine to Philly… but from there to Louisville might be dicey.

I know I worry too much but I can’t help it.

I stopped watching weather.com coverage long enough to take a photo of our sky yesterday early evening. It was sprinkling, and was already breezy — but nothing like is predicted for here later today.

We’re under a high wind warning from noon to 11:00 PM. It’s forecasted our winds will be 30-35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. National Weather Service — “Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected.

Time will tell if the job Ben and I did on the pool cover will make us look like losers instead of rockstars.

Thinking about the aftermath of Helene.

While I’m over here worrying about losing trees today, I’m pretty sure my house won’t be underwater. I feel awful for everyone impacted.  ðŸ˜”

And I’ll sure feel better once Katie’s feet are on the ground in Indiana.
