100+ bowls of water is the only answer

Not going to lie — I’ve never done a float test before. But I plan to start now!

On Weight Watchers, eggs are zero points. That means they’re free and don’t take away from the meager number of points you’re allowed to have each day. Because of our fat chicks diet challenge, I’ve been eating them like it’s my job. WW works, y’all… I’m currently winning.

We have a week left until the end — the final weigh-in.

It’s a good thing because I’m not sure I can eat any more eggs for awhile. 🤮

rotten egg

That egg that I just bought 2 days ago, was either left at room temperature for more than 2 hours, or rested more than 5 weeks refrigerated. The expiration date on the carton is 30 days out. And I bought a freaking case of those turds.

I won’t be cracking another egg without a float test.

  1. Fill a bowl or cup with water
  2. Gently place your egg inside
  3. If it floats, it’s old and you may want to toss it
  4. If an egg sinks and stands up, then it’s not very fresh but still safe to eat

Now you know: Giffen goods are a product that people consume more of as the price rises and vice versa, violating the law of demand. (For example, if the price of bread increases, research shows that families may buy more bread instead of other, more expensive foods.)
