I mowed grass again today before we get more rain tonight. I started out with Hugo and Merida outside with me as I push mowed their fenced area. That didn’t work out so well… Hugo bristled up and wanted nothing more than to kill the mower.
While I was doing my favorite part of this job — wearing rubber gloves and picking up dog poop — I noticed a pretty big hole. It wasn’t a hole that appeared as if it was something the dogs were digging around in. It was bigger around than a soda can and slick. Like a snake hole. But if that’s the circumference of its inhabitant, I don’t want to know. One look at whatever is using that hole and I’d swear that one of my dogs could be drug inside some underground anaconda house.
It was too cold to mow but that didn’t stop me!
When I came inside after finishing the yard work, my ears were achy just like when you stay outside too long in the winter wind. Barely 50° this afternoon but I was dedicated. BAM! Got ‘er done. 🙂
Now you know: During a scene in The Shawshank Redemption, a crow was to be fed a maggot. The American Humane Society objected against the idea of a live animal being killed for the scene — the team had to find and use a maggot that had died of natural causes.
