Mowing grass has been a challenge with all the rain we’ve had lately. Because of that, our outside chores had gotten ahead of us and the rural insects obviously love that. I have 556 mosquito bites from mowing and currently they’re all itching. I had a horsefly light on my leg that was bigger than this little guy:

No clue where the baby’s momma was, but she should’ve been watching closer. He was right outside my office window and was about the size of Hugo. I know the photo is poor taken through the screen before puppies could spook him, but I was thrilled enough I took (and shared) it anyway.
Perry hit a deer and I have another doctor’s appointment selfie.
Perry hit a deer on the way to work. It was too far from here to be the mother of the lil guy above, but it was likely some cute, speckle-butted critter’s momma. Perry’s fine, but the ole’ SUV took a lump.

It’s never just one thing, is it? Doctor’s appointments around here are on the rise, (at least no more for me and none so far for Perry). One more medical visit selfie to add to the collection since it’s tradition.

The best thing happening around here right now is the pool is free of rain/wind debris.

With an estimate of $10K for heating/air PLUS insurance deductible for Perry’s deer accident, we’re once again hemorrhaging money. Wish I could take back my 0-turn mower that I’m still not a fan of. 😉
Now you know: Dale Schroeder, a man from Iowa, used his life savings to help send 33 kids to college. He never married, had no kids, grew up poor and worked at the same company for 67 years.
