no longer M.I.A.

Apr 21, 2010

I’m pretty sure this is the longest I’ve ever gone without posting at least a short message on whatifitdid.com. I could blame it on being busy (true, but not entirely), or that I had nothing to say (yah, right!), but to be honest — I really don’t know why I simply haven’t made time to share my thoughts on something.

News (and of course gossip) in the burg is currently revolving around the recent theft at town hall, and the clerk’s son being arrested in conjunction with the crime. I’ve not commented publicly in reference to it on crothersville.net, but I’m not ashamed or afraid to say that I personally feel this arrest may very well be the best thing that could’ve happened for ALL those involved.

I really believe when we feel like some horribly bad thing has happened to us, many times we can think of it as ‘wake-up’ call instead. ‘Wake-up’ calls allow us time to make changes to avert something worse happening even if we think what’s already happening is about as bad as it gets. It’s my opinion that every single person involved in this unfortunate town situation should try applying that thought. No matter which seat you’re in, it could’ve been much, much worse — and this is the opportunity to take action to ensure worse simply doesn’t happen. It’s a wake-up call for sure.
