Today is yet another day where rain is in the forecast, but so far, all we’ve gotten is clouds. The wind is light and it’s not yet hit 75° at after 9:30 AM. Blah!
I was able to start my morning in my usual warm-weather fashion.
I typically have coffee on the deck first thing. It’s the time that I’m outside with the dogs. It’s not because I want to be up early. There’s not even enough sun to create shadows.
If I ever have or build another house…
There are 2 distinct things I want if I ever move from here and build — or if I ever pick a new house to call my own.
ONE.
I want a utility room in the back of the house with a door that goes outside. I HATE doing laundry in a bathroom closet. I want the room big enough to have a place to fold and hang clothes, along with an area to feed the dogs. I want the door to lead to the fenced in backyard.
In my last 2 homes, dogs go in and out of the kitchen and I couldn’t hate that any more.
TWO.
I want a 4-season room with a shit ton of windows. While we had what was called a 3-season room at the Seymour house, that doesn’t mean it was a comfortable place for 3 seasons. That room was too hot in the summer and too darned cold in the winter. I want radiant floor heat and a fireplace — and central air to keep me cool.
