We actually had sun yesterday without a dome of heat overhead. The weather was perfect. I put on my bathing suit and hobbled out to the pool because when you’re on “do nothing” duty, anything that makes your day less boring is great.
Except when non-boring means scary.
I had an uninvited and unwanted pool visitor! EEEK! I don’t have a huge fear of snakes, but thinking about even a teeny one near me in water freaks me out, you guys.
I carefully checked under the railing all around the pool and didn’t catch a glimpse of the slithering pool crasher, but that didn’t mean I forgot to keep an eye out for him to surface. 🙂
Exactly one week left with a doctor’s excuse to do nothing.
I scheduled my first physical therapy appointment for a week from today. When I had surgery 13 years ago, PT was required before the insurance would pick up the costs of surgery. I started the process back then without a clue and with a chiropractor. This time, I’m more informed. No more bone cracking for me — and I still have hope that PT will make a difference when last time, it did not.
In the meantime, I’m going to keep enjoying the gorgeous days of summer — all the while keeping an eye out for critters that want to share one of my favorite summer activities.
Now you know: In 2010 a cat named Sal Esposito was summoned for jury duty in Boston.
