Here on the outskirts of the Ville we were lucky. No mass amounts of snow, and little ice has fallen since the winter storm alert. Other of my family members aren’t so lucky. A mere 60 or so miles north, Ben says the sidewalks at his apartment (normally cleaned to perfection) are covered with 2 inches of ice. He knows this because even with my warnings…he forgot to buy toilet paper. My favorite brother sent me a photo yesterday of landscaping close to his home in Fishers, bent to the ground with the weight of ice, and feels extremely fortunate they still have power.
The wind here really kicked up throughout the night though. It woke me on several occasions, and Gracie quivered instead of sleeping, afraid the boogie man (or boogie dog) would be crashing through the door or window at any second. It’s finally snowing now — light airy stuff that will most likely not amount to any accumulation.
A client emailed me yesterday and I replied promptly. A couple hours later, I received 4 email replies to my reply! I email back to see why my customer was so upset they left those types of messages. The gentleman was embarrassed and explained, “My Blackberry was in my pocket.” I’ve been butt dialed, but never before have I been butt mailed.
Dude, buy an iPhone.
