Right now, it’s raining through sun in the Ville. Ok, so it really isn’t like Hawaii…where sunbathers don’t even bother getting up from their chairs placed around a fabulous pool, knowing their towels will be dry within minutes. It looks like the gloom has set-in for the day.
I’m pretty sure it rained most of the night. Gracie, who is TERRIFIED of thunder, spent her night in the bathroom (with the light and fan running) after panting and circling the bed for about an hour. It isn’t likely I’ll be reading a book by the pool today as planned.
No, Gracie has not been playing outside — she had a bath last night, and was happy to pose for the photo above. Libby went first, but isn’t pictured in today’s post because she loves a bath, and loves running after it’s finished. Gracie enjoyed watching Libby get lathered up — probably poking fun in doggie gestures — but when it was her turn, she wasn’t amused. Starting with warm water dipped from the hot tub, we ended up just trying to get it over with by using the hose. By the time the last bubble hit the grass, I was just as wet as the hound, and Perry’s shoes were sloshy.
Dear Gracie:
You smell awesome!
Love, Mom
