The pesky neighbors have a beautiful garden. I’ve already enjoyed a ripe tomato or two, fresh green beans and greens. And there’s soon to be corn and lots more goodies too. Poor Carl slaves away out there — but in his daily labors, he’s made a few enemies. I figure it’s his own fault since he put the bird houses so close to where he would be spending so much morning time. Oh yah, he may not have Edith and Homer (the killdeers that have made their home here… along with all their babies), but he has at least 5 pissed off martins that hate his guts.
Mom and I could walk around out there all day long and the birds (with babies in the bird houses) wouldn’t mind at all. Let Carl step foot outside the house and he’s getting dive-bombed by all of them. It’s nearly impossible to get a clear shot when their flight is so fast and you can’t see them coming while looking through a camera viewfinder.
I got a message from my buddy, Sherry, on Saturday letting me know that she’s babysitting the ducks for the FFA’s Young McDonalds Farm fair booth. She thought it would be cool to get Coco out there for a photo. At least Sherry has “bird issues” of the really, really CUTE kind! Check it out!
