Yesterday there was a HUGE woodpecker in the maple tree in the front yard. I took a couple photos out the office window, but I just wasn’t satisfied with the clarity of any of them. And, when I tried slipping quietly out the door for a better shot, the dude took off and didn’t come near the tree so long as I was outside.
A younger, braver (or not as wise) young woodpecker flew into the tree while I was outside with the dogs, went about his business while I went back inside to retrieve my camera, and was still pecking his way around the maple tree when I came back inside.
Remember Edith? She’s baaaack! The good news? She’s back making her nest in the driveway of the pesky neighbors! Woot!
