a very wyze product review

Jan 25, 2018

I love gadgets! While I feel extremely safe in my home (fabulous neighborhood, personal protection in place, etc.), I saw these crazy security cams that sell for $20 and had to buy one (or five). TWENTY BUCKS, you guys.

To be honest, I got them primarily to check on my dogs when I’m gone (yes, they have 2-way audio).  I’m not going to tell you that you’ll get a Porsche for the price of a Chevy Spark — but I would go so far to say that for that Chevy Spark price you’ll get a Mini Cooper. 🙂

1080p full HD with night vision and 2-way audio. BAM!  Get your bad self a Wyze Cam!

Good List/Bad List

  • they are not weatherproof but they do check all the boxes for inside
  • you can share your cam with anyone that downloads the app — but (for example), Perry will get an alert when I walk past the front door to retrieve a cup of coffee (mental note to self to only turn on notifications at night)
  • they require a wifi connection and electric — and plug-ins are NEVER in the perfect spot for me
  • not a fan of their shipping (UPSMI) and it took about a week to receive them

I made sure I purchased enough to give one to my son, but now I sure hate to part with it.  As soon as I finish typing this, I’m going back to Wyzecam.com to order a couple more (for here and for Ben’s).

Finally, their customer support team is social media active and I like these types of responses:
