In Living Color

posted by Shelley

I had someone ask if I would post the photo of my difficult subject in its color version — you know, the one I first posted here. Here ya go…

I’m going to be limited insofar as my computer abilities for the next few days, as the ole’ Mac goes back to the geniuses again tomorrow for a new graphics card. I’m hoping that nothing urgent transpires and I can lay low. I’m also hoping for sunshine.

When the Sun Comes Up

As the sun just begins to peek through the clouds…

…it’s a peaceful and serene time. The phone isn’t ringing yet and I’m enjoying that first cup of coffee. It doesn’t take long and my mind begins to wander and think about what’s in store throughout the upcoming day. I’m not the only one that is never quite ready to get rollin’ in the morning:

More WoW

On Shelley’s previous post, she talked about getting wasted and going back for revenge only to have found out she whacked an innocent player. Here is the story behind it.

We have mentioned how we have been leveling these two characters for a while now but we haven’t told you just how hard it is at this level. The process is slow and tedious, you run quests, farm mobs to get xp and all of this is done while trying to dodge high level Horde who will waste you simply because its in their power to do so.

We had been in one particular area doing the grind for xp when I was attacked by a rogue – Cyrcie came to my aid and we whacked it, then proceeded to return to the grind only to have him return while I was fighting and he got payback on me (Horde normally wait for you to be in a fight before they attack you – we call it ‘ganking’.)

Now we could have camped this guy and waited for him to come back to kill him again, but we had better things to do. It was on to the next area…

We arrived and started grinding – right next to other Horde players who payed us no attention as they were doing the same thing – combat could wait. It was then that out of nowhere that I hear Cyrcie say she needed my help – she had a Horde on her while she was engaged with mobs. I got there while hurt and we both got wasted. Cyrcie had had enough – she came back wanting payback and didn’t care what Horde it was – someone was going down and did.

We are now more than halfway through level 66 and with some more work will be 67 soon. Then there are only three more levels to go until we’re maxed out! 🙂 We’ll keep you posted on how its going and hopefully we won’t have any more Horde problems – although revenge in WoW can be a fun thing. 😉

Reflecting on the Weekend

posted by Shelley

Monday’s suck. It’s official. So I find myself reflecting on a great weekend spent doing things I enjoy.

Eating. How’s that for a favorite activity?
Shopping. It’s not just for girls.
Playing a game. You know you want to.

The crew had dinner at the Cheesecake factory over the weekend, and although I was pretty disappointed that they no longer have pineapple upside down cheesecake, I found a new favorite! The banana cream cheesecake is awesome. If I want chocolate, I’ll have a brownie or a candy bar — if I want a desert, I like it to be light and fruity.

After a wonderful dinner, we stopped off at the mall with the sole intent of purchasing a pair of jeans for Ben. We closed the place and all we walked away with was the photo in this post. What a great time for $3 bucks! While it’s possible to cram 4 people into one of those booths, don’t expect all 4 faces to appear in full within your masterpiece photograph. It was good for laughs — and not just while we were in the booth.

I’ve already told you about the whole game-playing thing (read it if you want — it’s right below this post.) I’ll only add that tomorrow is tax day and my car plates are due then as well. Forgot all about those things for a couple days…aaaah…weekends rock!

Just to Keep You in the Loop

Just a few quick updates —

  • Nashaar and Cyrcie are now level 66 in the wonderful game of World of Warcraft. 70 is the goal and leveling is going slow now. I had a rogue gank me tonight while trying to level and before Nash could get there to help — I was graveyard dead. Once I resurrected, I went off in a rage with the sole intent of revenge. I found a poor orc hunter and thought he was my murderer, so I wacked him. Wrong player…ooops! I’m sure there’s a lesson in there someplace about revenge and all — but I’ve been killed by those bad Hordes so many times that it’s lost on me.
  • You’ve got to check out the Pines BLOG and read the post about how to make sausage gravy. It will make you hungry; go buy a pound of sausage and a can of Grands. Yummy!
  • Check out Alisa’s BLOG in reference to ‘What Customers Really Want’. I have to tell you — there are times that I can relate…

Tomorrow is Monday and another work day. Boooo! While I slave away my boss is in Las Vegas, one of my favorite places in the world. It’s nasty raining here, but on the up-side — I’m not poking cash in a slot machine.
