It’s not long now…

Yah, I know that we’ve not been posting often. It’s been pretty busy around here of late. I did want to share just a couple things with you though!
First, check out the latest edition of Scott McKain’s UCEzine — which is produced right here in the burg at the southern branch of McKain Performance Group.
And, as your making preparations for your busy Thanksgiving holiday…

Today is cold here in the ‘burg. I mean that it looks like winter is right around the corner and to be honest, I don’t like it.
You may remember my posts from last year (when Shelley called me ‘grumpy’) where I voiced my opinion on winter and how much I hate the cold.
Just how cold is it here today? Well, when we looked out the window, this is what we saw.
You may have to look close to see it, but we had our first flurry of the year. Yay me.
We become so accustomed to our Internet connection that when it isn’t right, it feels like we’re missing a limb. I think I could function more effectively without my right arm than when my connection simply isn’t what it should be. Such is the case today…and last week…and the week prior to that.
I’m not sure what’s up, but my Internet connection has been marginal (at best!) for the past several weeks now. I’ve tried everything I know to try, and Mr. Technician #4 should arrive tomorrow. I am dreading the worst, and hoping for the best.
You’re probably wondering why I don’t just pick up high speed service from a different company. Right? Well, the next best thing is Verizon. And can I just tell you that Verizon has a representative call me at least once every day?? Despite my protests!! They claim to want to make certain I have the best plan for my business, yaddah yaddah yaddah. If it’s that bad with just a business line, I have a hard time wanting to spend more money with them.
Pushy marketing is lost on me. I don’t like it, and I don’t want to do business with anyone that practices it. Period.
The Wrath of the Lich King is out for World of Warcraft — my favorite online game of all time. The release has been a LONG time coming and the excitement has been building to the point that I could barely stand it. Waiting for the work day to be over was tough. I get the game installed, get my character to the first new in game area …. and the phone rings. It’s those pesky neighbors (my Mom if you’ve forgotten the earlier post)! The call was to tell me to look at the moon. Huh?
I go outside per her instructions and I can’t see a freaking moon anywhere in the sky. I call her back. She explains that the moon is totally beautiful and I simply must see it. I trudge back outside, and sure enough, hidden behind the barn next door is an absolutely beautiful moon! I’m so glad that I got to see it, and now I’m going to share it with you — just in case you missed it.
