The Good:
This news junkie thinks that drug testing for everyone that receives government services (such as welfare or food stamps) is good. Not just good, but totally awesome. I did read that there are those who are afraid that it might discourage some from asking for help. I say that if they use their cash for drugs and tax dollars for the necessities — I hope they ARE deterred from requesting assistance.
The Bad:
Poor Octomom is in trouble again after firing the free nursing service offered to help take care of her bajillion kids 24/7. That’s bad. What’s even worse is that I’m soooo sick of hearing about her I could scream.
The Ugly:
Along with spring comes other things…

I had a birthday recently and it was a rather large one. Those who teased me about it are also subject to abuse in return. Someone is having a pretty big birthday herself today. This person was careful not to cross over into the area that might cause her a whole lot of discomfort, but she is deserving of just a slight amount of attention for the card sent USPS.
Happy birthday, NaLona — I hope your pastures today are green, and in the upcoming year your stable is filled with stallions. 🙂

There’s this site that was recommended to me someone that shall remain anonymous. If you pass along the link — make sure that you don’t tell anyone you saw it here. Deal. Ok? If you’re shaking your head up and down — continue reading. If your head is bobbing from side to side — close this window, come back tomorrow, and only read the latest entry.
The site that I’m referring to is http://fmylife.com. If you don’t have a clue what “f my life” might be in reference to, please read the paragraph above while shaking your head from side to side, and follow the instructions.

Signs, signs, everywhere a sign. Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind. No, wait! Not that kind of sign! Signs of spring…

This morning, I trudged out the front door in my pj’s to let Libby outside, even before my first cup of coffee. The redbud tree that had nothing more than small buds yesterday afternoon was in full bloom! Dreaming maybe? Nope — the blossoms were still there even AFTER I got the coffee.

I’ve never been a fan of “home-printed” photos. It’s simply too easy to order photos via iPhoto through Apple at a very reasonable price. Still, there are times that it’s pretty cool to be able to print a quickie to share.
I also like my invoices and letters to be crisp and vivid. I am one of those morons that pay extra for the brightest white paper on the market.
I purchased an OKIdata color laser a few years back and was very pleased with it, except it was a pain to print envelopes and the toner had to be purchased online. Honestly, even photos printed pretty darned good. Still, the whole envelope thing was a pain.
I drive to Staples in Seymour and the guy who waited on me explained enthusiastically that the BEST printer on the market for my needs was an Epson Photo printer. Yes, it was about the same cost as a new color laser, but hey — it was a PHOTO printer that would also print the most fabulous looking letters on the planet! Folks, take my word for it… the Epson Stylus Photo printer that I brought home that day is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever owned.
I’m back to the OKIdata laser and will be purchasing one of the newer models soon.
