Do you ever think about how many things you’re missing out on because you’re stuck in a place that’s merely comfortable? Change is scary — no doubt about it. But if you don’t set yourself up for a possible let down, you’re not setting yourself up for exciting new opportunities either.
Now maybe you’re satisfied with comfortable, and that’s ok. Some people are good with that — like my Grandmother that recently passed away. She WANTED to build her life around her grandchildren and great grandson; she didn’t WANT to travel and experience new things; she LOVED the fact that she lived her entire life (98 1/2 years!) just yards from where she was born and where her father died. If she were here today, she would tell you that she’d crossed off every single item on her ‘bucket list’.
So no matter where you are in your life, it’s all good so long as you’re comfortable being comfortable — or you know that change can be awesome — but isn’t always.

(Gracie is thrilled with the change in her life — Libby not so much.)

I’ve had some very long work evenings lately. Today at 5:00 PM, I quit — just for an hour — but still, it was awesome. Libby and Gracie liked it too.

What did you do today to recharge your batteries?

Have you ever done business with a business when you hated what you had to go through just to spend your money with them? I am doing business with one company right now that makes my blood pressure go up every single time I deal with them. The second that I find another organization with a price that’s even in the ballpark, I will absolutely spend my money someplace else. This company does not have my loyalty — not by a long shot.

Anything ELSE he could help me with? I didn’t know he had helped me with one single thing!

Marketing is sometimes defined as persuading others to want what you have, regardless of whether they can afford it or not. Before they know they want it, they have to know it exists. So, people go through their lives being taught what it is they want, and trying to persuade others to want what they have to offer. At some point, it simply has to come down to a personal decision. YOU decide what you want (instead of letting someone else decide for you).
