not a whiner

Feb 16, 2010

I’ll admit, I’ve had enough snow to last the rest of this winter season. But I won’t whine and complain and moan like someone that I will not name specifically. In the spirit of not missing anything good, I put on my Uggs and trudged through the fluffy stuff that was almost topping my boots at around 1:30 AM to snap a quick photo. Thing is — when it’s dark and you’re not using a flash, it just doesn’t happen fast. The tripod was hard to manage, the dogs kept running through the frame (which in the dark without flash makes a big black blob in the shot), and the wind was so cold, I seriously thought my ears were getting brittle and figured one would break off any second. Then I couldn’t see the camera settings at all because it was too dark! I wasn’t happy with the photo below, but considering everything I had to go through to get it, I’m sharing it anyway.

Snow sure is prettier when you’re inside looking out.
