I am so very glad that I’m not a bus driver. School in the burg is closed again for tomorrow — but judging by the condition of the road in front of here, it’s going to be awhile before it’s clear. I’m sure school will be in session before I would be comfy driving a big ole’ yellow tin can with 60 kids behind me, and it’s looking like school will be in session until June already.

Knowing that my favorite brother and his lovely wife are traveling back to Indy from Nashville, I thought I’d check out the Tribune’s site for road condition information. Don’t click on the link! Seriously! If you don’t want popups all over the darned place — even if you have a popup blocker turned on — don’t click the link!

What’s up with you tribtown??

I guess subscriptions are down so much, you have to really annoy those who visit you online. (You’ll get the Taste Home Cooking School ad, an ad from lowermybills.com, an ad for classmates.com and vitamind.com — all popping new windows from accessing the main page to see what the roads are like. If you really want to see those ads (and all the others that fill their pages) just to find out we have a “new” 5 inches of snow on the ground, be tribtown’s guest.)

You don’t have to endure popups for Libby and Gracie to let you know in the burg the snow is too deep, the wind is too cold, and they are ready for spring. In the meantime, they’ll wait inside for the thaw.
