Photo look similar? My teeth aren’t clinched quite as tight as they were for our last shopping spree. Maybe it’s because shopping wasn’t the only thing on my agenda for the day!! Our plans were to go to Ben and Amber’s before we hit the mall, so I could spend some time with the most beautiful baby in the whole world (to me anyway) — Colette.
Ben had been wanting to eat at Thai Spice forever, and I kept putting it off. I finally caved in today, and the food was awesome! (If you eat there, please order an iced-coffee. You can thank me later.) I love spicy food, and even though I ordered mine “medium” hot — I was all warm inside and my lips were burning when we left. Perry ordered something with rice noodles and shrimp, took about 2 bites, and sent the rest home with Ben. He’s eating a danish right now. (The big baby!) I sent my favorite brother, Scott, a text message letting him know where I was. He wasn’t impressed. His reply message was that he would be dining in Thailand in a few days. Well, Scott, I hope the food you eat there is just as spicy as mine was today. Heh. Heh. Heh.
It’s been at least 20 years since I’ve done this at the mall…
…and I doubt that photos way back then were $20 bucks for a 5″x7″. Still, it was fun, and totally worth it. In another few weeks, the line to that crusty Santa will be long. As an aside — Amber’s in the photo because I suggested she not let Santa hold Coco. I’m sorry, he was just a tad too…ummm…I dunno what he was — but it made me uncomfortable. His beard and mustache are real BTW. And a little yellow. Ok, a LOT yellow. He needed some of that blue stuff my Nanny used to put in her hair.
Have I mentioned this whole grandma thing is awesome?
I really hope y’all are having a wonderful weekend too!
