Because Bulk Apothecary certainly doesn’t specialize in treating customers the way they should!
Planning for some “free time” when the house is a bit emptier, I ordered wicks, oil scents and soy candle wax from Bulk Apothecary, a bottle cutter from Amazon, and stickers from Moo all on the same day. Perry and I have been drinking wine for days now and cutting bottles like pros. The stickers look amazing.
Just yesterday I get a box delivered from B.A. Inside the box are wicks, scents and no wax. Instead, there was a faded photocopy of a Backorder Notice that states they are trying to fulfill my order as soon as possible. Trying? Seriously?
I was only a bit irritated that the Backorder Notice ended with, “Have a wonderful day!” A little more irritated that it was signed, “Your friends at Bulk Apothecary.” But I was REALLY pissed off when I signed back on their site to see what item I might substitute only to find that they are still offering orders on the product they don’t have!! I can certainly understand how a company might sell-out of a product due to an unexpected influx in orders. What I can’t understand is why the item is not currently flagged as “out of stock.”
So I write a review… one would think that’s why the option to do so is there… right? WRONG!! If you only post favorable reviews, you are deceiving your customers. ME!
I truly believed everyone just loved their soy wax! I thought it was awesome the company is located in Ohio. Their ‘about us’ page states:
“The customer is always right and customers should always be treated the way our customer service reps would like to be treated. Appreciate every customer, large and small and do your best to service them. From our experience if you stick to your principles, the business will take care of itself. These beliefs have allowed us to be arguably the fastest growing soap and candle making supply company in U.S. history.”
I guess a ratty ole’ piece of copy paper with faded print shows how much they really appreciate me. And, they can’t argue with that… because the customer is always right. Right?
