My favorite son is about to have a birthday, so we had the pre-birthday celebration this evening even though his birthday is next Friday. New Japan isn’t a place I would choose, primarily because I don’t like sushi. And I want a fork when I eat. I really don’t mind the TASTE of sushi, it’s the texture that simply doesn’t appeal to me. I always order a filet — steak is good no matter what. Right?
Dessert choices were green tea ice-cream and red bean ice-cream. I opted for the green tea flavor (red bean ice-cream sounded about as appealing to me as that eel on sticky rice I watched Ben eat). Coco ate it with a chopstick and let every one know that she likes GREEM ice-cream. I’m looking forward to the ‘real’ birthday celebration now. I figure the worst is over.
