Last night, (alone with nothing better to do), Dharma, Merida and I gave in and turned on Netflix’s trending and popular docu-series, Tiger King. I almost turned it off at least 100 times but couldn’t. It’s a train wreck.
Each episode it became harder to figure out which nasty, corrupt, drug abusing, lying, con artist to side with. Even with their faults, I felt bad for most all involved at one point or another. But not Carole — and not Jeff Lowe. Mostly, I was sad for the animals… all of them. 🙁
I remember in the early 90’s I was a juror for a federal trial on a counterfeiting case. It was against the then-owner of the exotic pet store in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I can’t recall much from that long ago except that any moron should’ve been able to tell the money was fake; there was a whole lot of talk about the mistreatment of exotic animals; and someone (secret service I believe) had a finger shot off. Even 30-years ago, all the players involved and testifying seemed to be corrupt. We found the guy guilty.
Dharma suggests you not watch Tiger King. Although she’s not a fan of cats (big or small), she thinks the representation of humankind portrayed within this docu-series is unfair.
She wants to pick the movie for quarantine day #25. I’m guessing we’ll be watching Lady and the Tramp tonight.
