Yesterday…
Yesterday afternoon, our immediate family gathered here for Colette’s birthday. We ate dessert and actually LOOKED at each other outside of a vehicle! We did social distance — except for Dharma. She has a hard time with knowing what 6′ looks like.
We kept Mom (and Carl) — the peskies — in the fresh air while the rest of us sat inside the sun room. Coco would’ve loved nothing more than to hug everyone… but we elbow bumped instead.
Tomorrow…
Merida has doggie day care tomorrow. They ask that the doggie boot camp candidates stay one day for day care so they understand that you’ll be back and aren’t leaving them forever. Sort of a pain in the butt, but I’m committed to this process. Failing (meaning we can’t get Merida under control) is not an option.
TIL – (today I learned): In 1916, soldiers with a fractured femur had an 80% chance of dying. The introduction of the ‘Thomas Splint’ reversed this statistic. By 1917, soldiers with the same injury had an 80% survival rate. Read the full article…
